Ways to Donate

We welcome and appreciate donations of any amount to support our programs. Except for our annual conference, all of our educational and support programs are offered free of charge to everyone. Thanks to the volunteer nature of our foundation, we have been able to keep our administrative expenses at 2.4  percent (2009) in order to direct your contributions directly to research grants and patient services. We’re serious about finding a cure for PSC, and your contribution will bring us closer to our goal.

General Donations

Please send all international donations in United States dollars.

Let us know if your check is in support and/or in honor of someone or in memory of someone, and include their address so that we can send them an acknowledgement of your donation. Please include your email address as well.

Stock Donations

As another donation vehicle, we have a brokerage account at Charles Schwab. Now, in addition to your cash gifts to PSC Partners Seeking a Cure, you can gift appreciated stocks which we can then sell and turn into cash. The tax benefit to you is enormous. Let’s say, for example, that you bought 100 shares of XYZ at $10 per share, and it has now appreciated to $30 per share. Instead of selling it and paying capital gains taxes on the $2000 profit, you can transfer the shares electronically to our account at Charles Schwab. You can then take a tax deduction for the full market value of the security on the date of transfer WITHOUT incurring any capital gains tax. Here’s how to do it:

Matching Gifts

If your company has a Matching Gift Program for charitable organizations, please sign up and forward the forms for us to fill out. This is a wonderful way to make your donation multiply in value.
