International Collaborative Research Network (ICRN)

The PSC Partners International Collaborative Research Network (ICRN), launched in 2022 by PSC Partners Seeking a Cure, is a forum for global PSC experts and patient community members to collaborate on innovative research ideas and develop potential research proposals aligned with community priorities.

The second ICRN Scientific Convening that took place in Phoenix, AZ, on October 17-18, 2024 brought together diverse voices and expertise from around the world. Over two days, participants engaged in collaborative discussions, refined research questions, and finalized five proposals.

Following the Scientific Convening, a survey was distributed to the PSC community, garnering responses from 235 participants—including patients, relatives, and caregivers—who ranked each proposed project. The top-ranked submissions were subsequently reviewed by independent scientific experts.

These evaluations, alongside PSC Partners' strategic research goals, informed the final funding decision to award $200,000 to the patient-partnered project titled “Prospective validation of candidate blood biomarkers for PSC-CCA and development of a roadmap for their clinical implementation (BIOMAP-PSC)”.
