Donor Advised Funds

A donor advised fund (DAF) is a type of giving program administered by a third party that provides you with the flexibility and most favorable tax benefits to easily support your favorite charities. DAFs are designed to manage charitable donations on behalf of an organization, family or individual and are becoming increasingly popular. They are an excellent way to simplify your charitable giving and facilitate your strategic philanthropic goals. You will receive a tax deduction when you make a contribution of cash, stock and other assets to your donor advised fund and, at a later time, you can grant specified amounts to the charities of your choice. Click here to learn more about the benefits and how they work.

Matching Gifts

Many companies match employee gifts to charitable organizations and/or volunteer time. If your place of work matches charitable donations, don’t forget to tell them about your gift to PSC Partners. This is a terrific way to multiply the impact of your donation!

Charitable IRA Rollover Gifts

Funds can be transferred directly to PSC Partners Seeking a Cure from a traditional or Roth IRA, avoiding the tax implications of an income distribution and having an immediate impact on people living with PSC. Ask your financial advisor how to make a charitable distribution or contact us to learn more.

How It Works

If you are 70-1/2 or older, you may transfer up to $100,000 per year directly from your traditional IRA to a qualified charity, like PSC Partners. If your spouse has a separate IRA, he or she is also eligible to make a charitable IRA rollover gift. The amount of the transfer will not be included in your taxable income, and the transferred amount counts toward the IRA’s required minimum distribution.

Talk to your financial advisor to determine whether a charitable IRA rollover is the right option for you. Contact us for the information your custodian will need.
