2012 GRANT – FINAL REPORT FROM DR. PATRICK LEUNG ET. AL., UC DAVIS

Each year  on the recommendation of the Scientific/Medical Advisory Committee and the Board of Directors, PSC Partners Seeking a Cure chooses the most promising research projects to support. In 2012, Dr. Patrick S.C. Leung of the University of California Davis School of Medicine, and Jonathan Eisen, PhD and Hoi Shan Kwan, PhD, of The Chinese University of Hong Kong received a two-year $60,000 grant to study the strong link between PSC and IBD and determine through DNA sequencing if gut bacterial antigens are translocating to the liver and biliary tree . Read the final report from Dr. Leung and his team.  You can also read the original Lay Summary of this research proposal on our research grants page.

PSC Partners Seeking a Cure thanks and commends Dr. Leung and his team for advancing the frontiers of PSC research.
