Code of Conduct Policy: All Conference attendees agree to follow the policies listed below.
PSC Partners is an inclusive, accepting organization. We intentionally seek a diversity of backgrounds, experiences, and viewpoints and elevate the different identities at our events. We hold ourselves accountable and take responsibility for our impact, even if well-intentioned. With that in mind, we expect those who attend our events to demonstrate kind, thoughtful behavior mirroring the values stated above.
While conflict is not anticipated, inappropriate behavior at the 2024 Annual PSC Partners Conference can result in being asked to leave temporarily or for the duration of the event, and, depending on the seriousness of the transgression, to being banned from future PSC Partners events and activities.
If an attendee observes inappropriate comments or actions, intervention is appropriate if it respects all parties. Violations of the code of conduct may be reported to PSC Partners Seeking a Cure at contactus@pscpartners.org or by contacting a PSC Partners staff member at the Registration/Help Desk at the Conference venue.
PSC Partners Seeking a Cure’s Conference organizers reserve the right to limit attendance to PSC Partners events for any reason. Organizers also reserve the right to remove any attendee or sponsor company for any reason.
Please note that the Conference agenda and Conference sessions are subject to change at any time.
Masking and Social Distancing Protocol: The health and safety of those who are immunocompromised in our community is of the utmost importance to us. To help people make a choice that is best for them, we are providing the following guidelines.
Depending on the COVID status at the time of the Conference, we may recommend the wearing of masks at our Conference while indoors to protect immunocompromised people in our community. However, masks will not be required. While masks will not be required, depending on the COVID levels at the time of the Conference, masks may be recommended indoors to protect immunocompromised people in our midst. All group meals will be held outside to further protect vulnerable attendees. Additionally, PSC Partners will provide sanitizing stations and free masks throughout the Conference venue. Depending on updates from CDC, World Health Organization, or the state guidelines, PSC Partners protocol is subject to change.
Before attending, each person should evaluate the risks associated with traveling to and from the Conference and attending an in-person event. If you’re not feeling well, please consider not attending. We’ll miss you, but we want to keep everyone comfortable.
Based on a practice developed by Global Genes for one of their events, each attendee will have the option to wear a pin indicating their desire to social distance at the Conference.
