2012 GRANT – FINAL REPORT FROM DR. LANKISCH AND DR. METZGER, HANNOVER MEDICAL SCHOOL

Each year on the recommendation of the Scientific/Medical Advisory Committee and the Board of Directors, PSC Partners Seeking a Cure chooses the most promising research projects to support. In 2012, Dr. Tim Lankisch and Dr. Jochen Metzger – both from Hannover Germany –  received a two-year $60,000 grant to study improvements in detecting Cholangiocarcinoma (CC) using chemical markers in bile and urine . Read their final report indicating their successes in detecting CC with these markers. You can also read the original Lay Summary of their research proposal on our research grants page.

PSC Partners Seeking a Cure thanks and commends Dr. Lankisch, Dr. Metzger and their team for advancing the frontiers of PSC research.
